RESTING NUMPTY FACE: Smirking Jessica Simms sent down.

Smirking Jessica Louise Simms will spend much of the next year locked up after threatening emergency workers with a broken bottle.

The 20 year-old Selby brat faced the music at York Magistrates’ Court on 24 September when she pled guilty to threatening a paramedic and a firefighter with a broken bottle as well as causing damage her police cell after she was nicked.

This wasn't Simms' first rodeo, however... Earlier the same day she had defied a court order that barred her from entering Selby train station, stemming from a previous conviction.

In that instance, Simms avoided jail despite pleading guilty to 'impersonating a police officer', 'causing the wasteful employment of police' and kicking the officer that was trying to arrest her four times.

Following her latest brush with the law, Simms was sent to a young offenders’ institution for 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £79 and £187 surcharge.

PC Emily Blackwell said, “Today's sentence sends a clear message that such behaviour is not a game and will not be tolerated. Emergency services exist to protect the public, safeguard vulnerable people and keep our communities safe. Those who deliberately waste these valuable resources can expect to be held accountable for their actions.”
