Angry dog bites jogger
News
A jogger has had a nasty encounter with an angry dog while out for a run near Selby.
It happened at around 8:45, last Sunday morning as the victim ran along Ouse Bank – between the A63 swing bridge and Cliffe.
They passed a man and woman walking two dogs off the lead, one of whom took a dislike to the jogger and chased them until it was allegedly able to bite the runner, causing a graze and ripping their clothes.
The dog is described as a large mastiff-type breed, similar to an XL Bully, but with longer legs. It was mostly white but had black patches and a pink nose.
The male walking with the mutt are described as tall and muscular, bald and was wearing a white vest top. The female had brown hair and was wearing a blue top.
Local cops are now looking for information to help them trace the owners of the dogs and would like to speak with anyone who might have witnessed the incident. Please call 101 if you think you can help them crack the case.
